The ADAF’s application page has applications, guidelines and deadlines for all our funding opportunities. You can also call the ADAF at 312-440-2547 to get more information. The ADAF does not accept unsolicited grant requests.

What does the ADA Foundation do?

The ADAF is the charitable arm of the American Dental Association. It serves as a trusted resource for both those who want to help and for those in need. The ADAF receives contributions from corporate donors, individual dentists and many others to support:

Where is the ADA Foundation located?

The administrative and grant making office of the ADAF is located on the 21st floor of the American Denal Association’s headquarters in Chicago, Illinois. The ADAF also includes two research agencies: the Paffenbarger Research Center in Gaithersburg, Maryland and the ADAF Research Institute in Chicago. The ADAF funds programs and grants in the United States and its territories.

Is my donation tax deductible?

Yes. The ADA Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organizations incorporated in the state of Illinois and registered in all US states that require registration. All contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Our Tax Identification number is 36-6132046.

How is the ADAF connected to the Our Legacy—Our Future

Our LegacyOur Future is underwritten by the ADA Foundation with support from the American Dental Association.

The ADAF Innovation Campaign was designed under the direction and management of ADAF to participate as one of the partners in this awareness initiative. Similar to every Our Legacy—Our Future partner, the ADAF’s Campaign will raise and utilize its own funds.

Does the ADAF provide grants or awards to individuals for reduced cost or free dental care?

No, not directly; however the ADAF does distribute access to care grants and awards for certified non-profits and government entities providing such care. If you need reduced cost dental care you should contact your state or local dental association, there may be resources available in your area.

You can also contact the nearest dental school, some have fee programs based on a sliding scale.
