ADAF GKAS Awards Gala
Introduction
The ADA Foundation hosted the first Give Kids A Smile Awards Gala on May 13, 2008, to benefit its Give Kids A Smile Fund. This fund was formed to award grants to access-to-care programs and otherwise support the expansion of Give Kids A Smile.
The inaugural gala during the Washington Leadership Conference in Washington, DC, was a great success by any measure. The setting in the historic Mellon Auditorium on the Mall lived up to expectations, and the event was described by many as "classy."
Nearly 400 leaders from dentistry and industry attended the Gala, and approximately $250,000 was raised for the Give Kids A Smile Fund. Thanks to all who made this such a success.
